Message from the Founder and Chairman
Dear Yorktown Community:
I would like to thank our parents for working with us while we are starting off our school year. Thank you to the Lo family for donating six sterilizing air filters to purify school air, a dentist can be very helpful! When our parents get creative and make excellent suggestions, we all benefit. If anyone has additional suggestions for our COVID response, curriculum, or other areas, just let us know.
Our COVID PPE supplies are in stock, the racetrack pathway is laid out, and we are be prepared to follow healthy in school procedures. As I write this, half the staff is in three hours of training with the other half to follow training in the second session. We are understanding of those with family risks and about 20% of students will be starting remotely, but still will be following the courses on schedule. You may move between in-person and remote as needed.
Course plan meetings are underway and required for every student and family. These may also be done remotely. We are introducing teachers and answering all your questions. Each student’s personalized plan will be created and reviewed for the year, along with their path through graduation. This includes future college and career planning, so everyone may attend the college of their choice, receive scholarships and go on to “Do What They Love”. After all, Yorktown Education wants our graduates to lead great lives.
ALL STUDENTS GRADUATING THIS YEAR, AND STARTING COLLEGE IN THE FALL OF 2021, HAVE A MANDATORY MEETING AT THE SCHOOL, THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 3, 2020 at NOON.
All who are graduating within the next two years are welcome. Parents are welcome to attend, but not required.
We are very pleased with our teachers, staff and returning students and families. COVID and Governmental responses delayed recruiting this year and we have some open slots.
We ask that you:
- Let your friends know that we are open in person with a remote option.
- Our students continue achieving at higher levels than other public or private schools.
- Please go to the following websites and provide new reviews (someone we said goodbye to was not happy about leaving).

I am looking forward to our year getting better as we move away from the COVID – election year past to a happier, more fulfilling future for our Yorktown Education community.
