Yorktown Education is about proficiency We have said it many ways but we don’t want our students to just be book smart, we want them well-rounded and to gain a knowledge of topics and facts at the level that they understand them. That concept is core to how we schedule classes, how we create tests and also how we advance our students through the grade levels. It’s never about just pushing a child to the next level based on age or expectations, it’s about the child and do they understand the material!
As part of that philosophy we schedule many activities that engage the students and expose them to concepts we have learned in the class room. Here are a few shots from our trip to the Dallas Museum of Art this school year. Eager faces, learning in the museum.
