At Yorktown Education we are not just talking about innovation, WE’RE TEACHING IT!
Are you fed up with public schools? Are you home schooling your child and ready to make a change?
No matter your circumstances, Yorktown is here to help further your child’s potential. Every student is an individual with their own talents, abilities and weaknesses. At Yorktown, we adjust each student’s personal educational program as they grow and tailor to their needs. Those that apply themselves are able to learn better, faster and more effectively. Advancement at Yorktown is based on performance – not age or grade levels. Students are encouraged to advance academically at earlier ages through a curriculum that fosters thinking with depth and complexity.
As educators, we believe that children who are academically and socially capable of more advanced work should be allowed to accelerate according to their abilities and desires. Starting at first grade and continuing through college-level work, higher achievement is standard order of the day at our school.
Yorktown students can earn up to 60 college credits (equivalent to two years of college, with more than 400 courses to choose from) through our dual enrollment program before high school graduation.
At Yorktown, our mission is to help instill the core values of respect, responsibility, and innovation in our students, to ultimately prepare them for lives of leadership and making a difference in the world.
We invite prospective parents to join us for coffee the first and second Tuesday of each month from 9 am to 11 am. We offer a guided tour of our campus and the opportunity to learn more about our academics and facilities. Reservations should be made with the Front Office by calling 972-521-8623 or you can schedule a visit online.
