Yorktown Education Puts Remote Learning to a Successful Test
Dallas, Texas March 23, 2020 For the people who are unfamiliar with working remotely or remote learning, the present-day circumstances brought about by COVID-19 may seem daunting. However, Yorktown Education has had remote learning in place for years, so the transition to remote schooling and learning has been very smooth, without any interruption in the curriculum.
Video and online systems and classes at Yorktown Education have been a natural resource from the beginning. Students find the benefits of remote learning helpful, allowing a safety net, if you will, to avoid missing any important assignments if they are unable to attend class.
“We have minimized the disruption caused by COVID-19 on our students’ learning,” noted Mr. Randall Reiners, Founder of Yorktown Education. “Our classes have continued without any down time thanks to our personalized education which also uses remote schooling technology. Yorktown has had this in operation for over ten years. It gives students an option to stay connected without the worry of missing any assignments or losing time that’s hard to make up,” Mr. Reiners added. “This has been very important for our students who travel, work on special projects, and also attend sporting and art events.”
The ability to use videoconferencing and personalized learning systems, with their teachers means completed, on-time assignments have continued as usual. This is a valuable resource for the students of Yorktown Education. Of course the camaraderie that Yorktown students enjoy when they are on campus and in their respective classrooms with their peers is not something they would choose to give up altogether.
Until that time, Yorktown Education students are moving further ahead of students from other schools who are stuck at home this spring. Yorktown students have the advantage of staying focused on their educational goals moving forward in their learning path.
