Student Care for Busy Families
We are pleased to announce that our After School program will offer care for all students enrolled in Yorktown Education. Emphasis of the program will be to provide a guided environment for students to have time for play, hands-on projects, reading, collaborative activities, or completion of unfinished schoolwork. Our after-school program will take place in the main building lunchroom.
The after-school program runs Monday through Friday from 2:45pm until 6:00pm. Classes for Lower School students (Cohorts 1-3) end at 2:30pm. Lower School students are required to be picked up by 2:45pm or enroll in the after-school program.
Classes for Upper School students (Cohort 4-5) also ends at 2:30pm. Upper School students are permitted to stay until 4:00pm if they are working or enroll in the after-school program.
The after-school program has an annual enrollment fee of $50 and the cost of the annual program is $1,800 (September 4, 2018 – May 24, 2019), which must be paid in full or on a quarterly basis. If you would rather pay quarterly, the cost is $600 per quarter. We accept checks or credit card payments.
Should a student need a periodic drop-in day, the drop-in rate is $30 per day and must be paid no later than the morning of the drop-in day on which the student participates.
Please note: Your child must be registered and paid in full before they are able to attend the program (includes drop-in attendance).
On “Faculty Development” days, students will have access to all-day care (8:00am-6:00pm). Special activities will be planned on these days for students.
The after-school program will be closed on the following days:
- November 19 – 23, 2018
- December 20, 2018 – January 4, 2019
- March 11 – 15, 2019
- All Federal Holidays
To register, please complete the following:
- Pay $50 Registration Fee made payable to Yorktown Education
- Pay After School Program Fee in full ($1,800) or pay per quarter ($600)
- After School Application – complete the online application or contact the office for a printed form and return to the office.
